I like the colors, concept, and framing of this shot. My one complaint is that her wrists are cut off. I don’t think it would work to crop this shot to see if you could make her arms less stubby — you’d lose the bag and probably her thigh. I agree that street photography is hard, but you and I have both complained about cut-off body parts in pictures. It takes away from the picture. That all said, this photo is well done. The earthy tones of the girl and the background grab me. There’s something very magazine about this shot.
Yeah. I haven’t been doing any cropping on my images so-far, but you’re right that I should be doing so.
Well, it completely depends on the situation; i.e., cropping wouldn’t have worked here.
I like the concrete-snake-like statue-sculpture-thing in the back that seems to be sneaking up on the unsuspecting girl. She looks cold. For some reason, I find it beautiful that her green sleeves are longer than the ones of her jacket.
