I love fog, especially in the mornings. Interesting weather is always nice to have in a largely weather-free town like Santa Barbara.
I used a Lightroom graduated filter to darken the bottom half of this image, which I think helped hide some of the distracting building elements. I could also have blurred them a bit in Photoshop as well.

Almost. It’s 472×500. I could probably cut an additional 38 from the height to make it truly square, but it’s square enough for government work. :)

I also love fog, and this is lovely. Nice work with the darkening — the end product is subtle.

Done! I actually cropped off the top little bit of sky rather than squishing down the tree, but it’s definitely better. :)

The sky does make it look much more atmospherically foggy. If you’re not into squishing, have you ever tried liquid rescale / seam carving? Note: I am a big cheaty cheater.
