Probably around 1 or 2 in the afternoon on a brighty sunny day with virtually no clouds; however, this was taken in an alley of sorts, between a slope that led up to a restaurant’s outdoor dining area and a building.

This image is definitely better in B&W than in color. The cat feels like an extension of the wood, while still totally aware and engaged. A little more contrast between the face and the sand would be nice, but that would require a different framing, which would probably be hard with a feral cat. :)
