Brad and Baby, originally uploaded by Ted Cabeen.
I haven’t been taking as many pictures as I’d like recently, but I did get this one from Saturday’s Miracle Fruit party. It’s a little dark, but Brad looks very cute holding that baby. He should do it more often!

My awesome mother let me take a couple head shots of her. I took this in bright sunlight, under a patio umbrella. Diffused light, yay!

I caught this guy totally off the cuff while waiting for Shayna at lunch one day. I love the lighting on his face.

Sunset, originally uploaded by Ted Cabeen.
Although the sunset on this evening wasn’t particularly spectacular, I liked now it offset these flowers. There’s no color detail in the flowers themselves, but their silhouette is strong.

leaf, originally uploaded by Shayna Ingram.
I focused on various parts of this leaf to see what would most impact the viewer/me. This photo came out best.

Although the butterfly season in Goleta is coming to a close, there are still a few left. Here they are clinging to a eucalyptus branch.

Disease, originally uploaded by Ted Cabeen.
Christina spotted these diseased flowers on the sidewalk near my house over the weekend. I really like the color play between the flower petal and the brown disease.
