A bachelor western lowland gorilla from the Santa Barbara Zoo earlier today.

I’m hopeful that Shayna and I can get back to posting on Aperture more often. The light is certainly more favorable for it.

There’s a dock on the UCSB lagoon for kayaking, and these birds love to hang out there during the day. I need to go back sometime soon and get more shots of them. They are very photogenic.

My cat after a trip to the vet yesterday. I rotated/cropped this photo; warmed up the tone); did a bit of sharpening; and played a little with the lights and shadows in curves. She looks like she’s in kitty jail.

A cat who has hung around Ted’s house at various time over the past year and a half. We recently took him to the shelter. I named him Morgan, but his ninja name is Orange Cat. I love the focus in this photo; I just wish his eyes were also in focus (they aren’t in the larger version). This photo would have also been better if there was more light on the right side of Morgan’s face. I warmed up the colors of the photo in Lightroom.
