Although the sunset on this evening wasn’t particularly spectacular, I liked now it offset these flowers. There’s no color detail in the flowers themselves, but their silhouette is strong.

I find it amusing there are electrical/telephone poles in this photo, a la Ted’s “Wired.” Perhaps we shall both consider how to take photos of these pervasive yet elusive subjects. It would be nice if the car headlights had been in better focus.

Off the riverwalk in Chicago, in May 2009. I find this to be a compelling shot, but the reason for that remains elusive to me. It seemed as if this buoy or moor, in a long line of ones standing perfectly, was just hanging on by sheer force of will.
